The DETECTABLE jacket, developed in collaboration with Continental Automotive France, is the first "innovative design" jacket automatically detectable by car cameras and Lidars.

This jacket ensures daytime visibility thanks to its fluorescent technological fabric inserts, as well as nighttime visibility ensured by its reflective technological fabric inserts UrbanReflect(r).

Equipped with all the cycling features developed by Urban Circus over the years, waterproof and breathable, it protects you from the elements while allowing your body to breathe during physical exertion.
  • The reflective part of our jacket is 100% polyester with water repellent treatment. It has reflective inserts up to 350m and a 10,000mm Schmerber waterproof membrane and 5,000 gr/m2/24h MVTR micro-perforated membrane for breathability.

Pollution and city traffic are messy and can alter the properties of our products. This is why we invite you to wash them regularly.

Here are our maintenance tips:
. Machine wash at 30° maximum. Wash your zipped jacket with the reflective side inside.
. Drying in the open air. Do not tumble dry
. Do not bleach
. Steam iron only, to remove wrinkles. Do not apply an iron to the fabric so as not to melt the waterproof membrane.

DETECTABLE is the assurance of being visible to motorists in the middle of the night from more than 300 meters compared to less than 50 meters for a white garment.

WEATHER PROTECTION

We answer all your questions regarding the URBAN CIRCUS X CONTINENTAL DETECTABLE JACKET

The DETECTABLE jacket is ideal for temperatures between 7°C and 15°C, depending on your level of exertion and your tolerance for the cold. Designed as a lightweight mid-season jacket, it can also be worn in winter with good technical base layers. Many of our customers only wear this jacket for their bike or walking trips, even in the middle of winter!

The DETECTABLE jacket is a waterproof model, designed for complete protection in all weather. It includes an ergonomic hood with visor, thumb loops, ventilation zips under the arms, a double opening zip and several functional pockets. The DETECTABLE LIGHT vest, on the other hand, is a very simple version with a chest pocket only, lighter, sleeveless, breathable mesh, ideal for visibility in mild weather or to complete an outfit already adapted to the weather.

Detection relies on the jacket's design. If you're wearing a backpack, it may obscure certain areas, which can reduce the effectiveness of camera and LiDAR detection. For optimal security, try to keep the panels as visible as possible.

Excellent jacket

Used in all weather and temperatures. Very practical, completely waterproof. Even in very cold weather, there's no need to overdress underneath thanks to its windproof properties.

Absolutely delighted with this jacket!

This jacket is a great success! Relatively warm and therefore perfect for mid-season. In winter, it's best to have a few layers underneath. Quite breathable, and above all: waterproof! I've already had a few good rains with it, without ever getting wet underneath. Only the integrated mittens can potentially take on a little water and, through capillary action, slightly wet the garment underneath. Hyper visible and flashy while being rather beautiful (which is not easy)!

Visible but waterproofing needs to be reviewed

Visibility-wise, it's top-notch, and I still think that when you wear it, you don't notice it as much as the motorists or cyclists you pass.
Windproof level, same, effective
Temperature: almost "too hot", but very practical in winter, with just a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath or a fleece (well, it all depends on whether you push the pedals a lot or not)
Waterproofing: This jacket is a major flaw in my opinion. I've had it for two seasons and it has lost all its waterproofing. I've only washed it once (yellow is messy) and all the fabrics have become absorbent, even the interior surfaces. The reflective surface is covered in micro-cracks, so likewise, the waterproofing has gone out the window.
Too bad for a jacket at this price, I would have even preferred to pay a little more for durability.

This jacket is really visible from afar during the day but at night!!!
It is completely waterproof, very comfortable, well ventilated... I couldn't do without it, I feel really safe in this garment.
I really recommend it!
